Ok, at long last, here is the list that has been requested repeatedly by patient grandparents everywhere: The Official Wish List of Her Toddlerness Miss The Kate. And yes, I am making you work for it by checking out our new site. Ha ha. Now without further ado, in her "own" words, The List.
Katelyn’s Birthday AND Christmas Wish List
Hi everyone! I am a big girl with a big imagination now, so I really like to create, imagine, role play, etc. I don’t need toys that “do” a lot of things, just simple stuff.
Here are some things I would really enjoy:
- Books, especially board books because I can turn the “pages” easily
- Clifford the Big Red Dog
- Elmo
- Blue’s Clues
- Corduroy
- Lego Quatro 70 piece block set (I am very into building towers right now, and need more blocks to go with my current Quatro set)
- Fisher Price Little People Sweet Sounds Home (like a dollhouse)
- Potty Elmo (Mommy has ulterior motives, but I actually do LOVE this toy, my friend Lauren has it)
- Bowling Pin Set – the old school kind if you can find it anywhere
- Doctor Kit (give Aunt Kari dibs on this one!!)
- Aquadoodle or Color Wonder for mess-free coloring
- Wooden puzzles
- Little Einsteins DVD’s (examples below)
- Clothing, mostly size 2T but occasionally 3T
- A dress up box, with hats, bracelets, necklaces, purses, etc. I love to accessorize!
Note from the Neurotic Mother: Please keep in mind that this child's current favorite toys include miniature pumpkins, things she has pulled out of the trash, and sippy cups (which she diapers with Kleenex). If you give her a balloon, she will hug it all day long. So you don't have to spend a lot (or anything) to make her happy. :)
